Calling all VR6 engine owners and Euro enthusiasts! Get ready to take your VR6 out to regional New South Wales, Pheasant Wood Circuit (Marulan) for a celebration of the VR6 in all of it’s forms.
Let’s get as many Volkswagen Golf VR6, Golf R32 MkIV, Golf R32 MkV, Bora, Passat B5, B6, Passat R36, Audi A3 8P, Audi TT 3.2 8N, 8J and more while having a blast at Pheasant Wood Circuit! We’ll back it up by driving to VW Nationals - Fairfield Showgrounds, the following day.

Whether you love your VR6 in stock form, have tastefully tinkered under the hood, unleashed its full potential with boost, or a fan of these engines, Wookiee Fest and Friends welcomes you.

Pheasant Wood Circuits’s non-timed open track days are enjoyed by anyone with a car, no matter their experience, all you need is
a helmet
long pants
and long sleeves.
OPEN TRACK DAY Costs
$220 per driver + $30 day license
$30 per passenger

7:00AM - Fuel up & pre-meet! For your Wookiee and yourself. Make sure you’re switched on and ready to roll!

Show ‘n’ Shine crew - find a spot over near the carports
Wookiees and friends going on track - prep your cars for scrutineering. This means remove EVERYTHING that’s loose from the interior and clearing out your boot (spare wheel, tools, everything). Clamp down any cameras inside or outside of your vehicle (if allowed). Get your gear on. Install your towing eye. Head to scrutineering.
9:00AM - Driver’s briefing. Open track day commences.

We’ll bring our Wookiees to Sydney’s largest VW gathering. VW Nationals is a large, family-friendly annual event for Volkswagen enthusiasts in Australia.
What happens at VW Nationals?
Show & Shine: Hundreds of Volkswagens, from classic Beetles and Kombis to modern models, are displayed, with categories for judging. See more details below.
Swap meet: A huge market for buying, selling, and trading VW parts, memorabilia, and accessories.
Trade stands: Businesses showcase VW-related products and services.
Entertainment: Includes music, raffles, and activities for kids like face painting.
Community: A chance for VW lovers to connect, share stories, and enjoy a day out with their passion.
Fundraising: Often supports charities, with raffles and proceeds contributing to the cause.
It’s a 1.5 hour drive from Marulan to the Fairfield Showgrounds. All freeway. Super easy.
VW NATIONALS DAY schedule
7:00AM - 8:30AM - Marulan crew head up to VW Nationals - Fairfield Showgrounds (1.5hours drive)
7:30AM - General admission, car show and swapmeet entry gates open
7:30AM - 3:00PM - Car Show assembly & Swapmeet
10:30AM - Car Show Entry Closes (entry gate shut)
11:00AM - First Raffle Draw (at the Club VW Stand)
12:00PM - Major Raffle Draw
12:30PM - Peer Judging Forms CLOSED
1:00PM - Final Raffle Draw
3:00PM - Trophy Presentation and multi-media presentation
Entry Fees:
General Admission: $10.00
Children under 16: Free
Show and Shine Entry: $30.00 (includes 1 show entry for the driver, additional entry tickets may be purchased if needed)
Swapmeet sites: $30.00 (includes 1 show entry, additional entry tickets may be purchased on the day if needed)
Sell your Vehicle (inside the grounds): $30.00 (includes 1 entry)
VW NATIONALS Car Show Instructions:
Those entering their VW in the car show need to fill out and submit their entry form at the entry gate. We will provide them on the day, but you can save a lot of time by printing it off first and filling it in at home. Then just bring it along on the day.
